For Café Wiesje on Amsterdam’s Sluisstraat, we designed a welcoming hospitality interior where guests immediately feel at ease. The space is organised around long banquettes, compact seating niches, round café tables and a central bespoke bar. This creates a varied setting for everything from a quick coffee or lunch to a long evening at the table.
Deep-blue panelled seating gives the interior character and contrasts beautifully with the light grey-beige walls and natural timber furniture. Brass table edges, classically inspired wall lights and soft curtains add warmth and refinement. The dark timber bar features a light stone top, integrated beer taps and a practical suspended glass rack. Large windows and the glazed frontage bring in abundant daylight and connect the café to the street, resulting in a timeless and intimate interior designed for intensive daily use.
